Hello there! So you are thinking of bringing home a Bengal? Well you couldn't find a better breeder than Darlene of Satokatz. My name is Julie from Columbus Ohio and I recently brought home an adorable little kitten named Sookie (now goes by Bing Clawsby). I had been a fan for awhile since my roommate has a beautiful Bengal from a previous litter so I followed her Facebook to see all the darling little kittens... That's when I saw Bing. He had previously been going to another family who was unable to take him home. It was love at first sight and after learning his story I just knew I needed to give him a fur-ever home. I reached out immediately to let her know I was interested, she was kind and professional. I could tell right away she loved each and every one of her cats. I was very impressed by the questions I was asked in making sure that I was a good candidate and serious about taking on the responsibility of Bing. This made me very comfortable as this was my first experience with a cat breeder. The contract was thorough and the buying process was a breeze. Once everything was final, I was able to pick up Bing within the week. Since picking him up and bringing him home I could not be happier! He was just what we needed! He has been a great companion for my small dog Holly and bonded to all of us faster than expected. I truly believe this is because of the wonderful care and upbringing from Darlene. I love sending her pictures and can not thank her enough for my newewst little furbaby!

SatoKatz is owned by an amazing woman who truly loves and respects the breed of bengals. Darlene is with you every step of the way & I had a memorable experience when adopting Kiari. I am always able to go to her for questions or concerns. I even got to meet the parents of my kitten and saw Darlene amazing home that you could tell was devoted to the care of her Bengal family. Thank you so much Darlene :)

Jewels is truly a gem. Darlene is A+. She cares about the kittens and is very knowledgeable and helpful for new parents to a Bengal. If anyone wants a Bengal I recommend getting them here. You will receive a kitten that is well rounded, intelligent, beautiful, up to date with their health check up/shots, and such a joy in your family!! I’d give her 10 stars if I could.

My experience with SatoKatz was very positive. From the beginning I could tell these kittens were immensely loved and well taken care of by the breeder. When we came to take our two new feline family members home I could tell it was hard for her to say goodbye and she was sure to send a goodie bag with them to make the transition easier. As for my kittens, they have become a part of my daily routine in the three weeks they have been home, bringing a little joy to every moment. I love watching their personalities (my female kitten is very curious and playful; my male kitten is a little timid and such a lover).

I recommend SatoKatz 100%! I’ve just adopted my 2nd & 3rd Bengals from Darlene & her cats are very healthy & very social and adorable!! I adopted my first Bengal (spotted) in Dec 2015 and he was so great I had to get another one & ended up with twin female marbled Bengals. Darlene is great to work with & the kittens are wonderful! I purchased 2 Bengals cats from Darlene at Satokatz they are amazing. I was not sure if they would be okay around my 2 year old daughter. I did not know much about the cat breed. I had asked Darlene how they are with children she said great they are very friendly and playful cats. She gave me all the information regarding this breed I did not know much about. Everything she said was accurate they do not like to be alone my Bengals are rarely left alone, both love running water, both are very active cats. Chico (male) is my first I got him May 2015 and he is laid back and the protector. Ivory (female) came a month later June 2015 at first Chico was hesitant about another cat in the house but after a few days he was watching over Ivory also and now they are inseparable. They are both super playful and from the beginning they both were always gentle with my 2yr old and I had taught her to be gentle with the kittens. Ivory loves to be babied and will let my daughter push her around in her play stroller and shopping cart. Snuggles anytime you sit down or in bed likes to get under blankets. Chico likes his attention also will lay by me but if he hear anything he is checking it out. Extra Bonus is they do not shed. As kittens they will climb your curtains, attack your feet, chew on stuff there not suppose to. Both Chico and Ivory liked to climb me. But all that has stopped once they got thru there kitten stage and learned. I wanted to share my experience especially since I have a toddler and how the cats interact with her. I am very happy I purchased the cats and Darlene is great and truly cares about each every cat. Sincerely Melissa 2015
" Darlene at SatoKatz produces amazing Bengals.I bought a male Bengal (Kato) from her last December. He was extremely socialized from the moment he came home with me.He has truly become a companion of mine and follows me around the house everywhere. In the first 3 weeks I was able to teach him how to sit and within 5 weeks he could shake hands. He is a very smart cat who also loves to play.If you are a fan of dogs but do not want that much work then a cat from SatoKatz is the perfect alternative.Kato even learned how to play fetch in the first 2 months. He needs his energy burned off every day which is always fun and entertaining. It is amazing to watch him grow gaining strength and amazing agility. The nice thing about a Satokatz Bengal is that they love to play, love seeing new humans, and adapt to new surroundings very well.Kato goes on a lot of road trips with me and loves going for weekends at the lake house. On top of being very energetic and playful, he loves to cuddle when he is tired and needs a nap.He sleeps between my legs most nights of the week.I would recommend a SatoKatz Bengal to anyone!"

Darlene has been very helpful through every stage of adopting our Bengal kittens. What spoke to me the most about Darlene and her cattery was that all of the kittens are raised under-foot, and that she doesn’t have “a lot” of breeding females and males. To me, this really spoke to her devotion of raising the best, most healthy, and well-socialized kittens possible, not the most kittens possible. Darlene answered many questions about what it was like to have Bengals, what to expect, and how to adapt the kittens into their new home with us. It was clear from the beginning that our kittens, Wasabi and Gucci, were outgoing and not timid cats. When we first met the kittens at Darlene’s home, they did not shy away from us because we were strangers; they played comfortably and even got on our laps. Upon brining our babies home, it took a few days for them to adjust to the new environment. We had little hiccups, such as the kittens not wanting to drink standing water (from a bowl). But, Darlene quickly helped us with this problem, recommending that we buy a cat-watering fountain (only around $25). This immediately fixed this little setback.Although particular about their water, these boys are not picky eaters -- I have changed the brands of their dry and wet foods with no major objections.Gucci (a marbled Bengal) and Wasabi (rosetted Bengal) have both developed their colors beautifully, and have each come into their own personalities. For instance, Wasabi is now a large higher-energy cat that greets anybody who walks into the room, where as Gucci is calmer in his personality, who likes to sit on my lap and even tolerates being dressed up. Both, however, have a mutual love of running water (including flushing toilets and watching the shower run) and playing fetch with mice toys. We are currently in the process of training them to jump through a hoop for a treat reward. I love watching my boys grow and play; having them to come home to has made my family complete.I cannot wait to see what Bengal adventures are to come as they mature into beautiful, exotic felines. These kittens have proved to be the perfect mix of exotic high-energy Bengal cats and lovable family pet. I would definitely recommend Darlene of Satokatz Bengals when looking to adding one, or even two, Bengal kittens into your family. Warm Regards, Emma

To Whom It May Concern,
It is without reservation that I offer this letter of recommendation on behalf of Darlene Sato and SatoKatz Bengals. We are the proud parents of SatoKatz Kauzo now SatoKatz Neko Kauzo. We have not regretted the decision at all.
I am a firm believer that how the life of a kitten begins directly impacts how well they integrate into a new environment. The better socialized a kitten is to humans, other animals, common household sounds and the world in general allows for a more confident and secure kitten to easily transition into a home. SatoKatz is a cage free Cattery. Every kitten is held and loved by Darlene from the moment he/she enters the world. The behavior of the kittens when we arrived to meet Neko confirmed this. As we approached Darlene’s front door we were greeted by several little Bengal faces looking out the window. The kittens did not display any skittish or timid behavior. Every kitten was comfortable with human hands and had the run of the house. Darlene also showed us every aspect of her home which is also her Cattery! We met Neko’s Mom and Dad and Aunt. All of the cats were friendly and appeared to be in excellent heath and well loved and cared for. Her home is immaculate despite so many little paws about.
Darlene answered all of my questions and has responded promptly to any email I have sent asking for information as to caring for a Bengal. She reviewed the contract, feeding, type of cat litter and provided suggestions for integration into our home. She also provided a care package for Neko. Included was a book on the care of Bengals, food, and toys. While this may see a little thing to some it was a huge help to us. The familiar items in his bag of toys provided Neko a bit of what he was used to playing with increasing his comfort level in his new home.
The transition could not have gone smoother. By day three Neko was sleeping with my one hundred pound English Shepherd and chasing our Chihuahua. He is doing well with his two senior rescued male cat brothers.
I had him evaluated by our Veterinarian, as per the contract, and he was proclaimed one of the healthiest Bengals to ever be examined in the office. The Vet also commented on how easy he was to handle and trim nails.
Something more happened the day we added a Bengal to our family we also gained Darlene as a friend. In all honesty I think we communicate with each other everyday. She does not expect it but loves when families stay in contact with her providing her updates on her Bengal Babies. Darlene loves everyone of her Bengals and does everything possible to place them in loving homes which is a big reason we chose SatoKatz Bengals and Neko.
Sincerely,
Mary Elizabeth Babcock

I am so happy with my decision to get a Bengal cat. After doing some research about the breed I was uncertain, I had never heard of a Bengal until my son told me a year ago he wanted one. I began to communicate with different breeders in and around Pennsylvania. And had finally decided on Satokatz. I had a really bad experience with a breeder in Salineville Ohio when purchasing my dog, who is now four years old. Their website looked amazing and I was excited to go and pick up my new puppy. I had lost my dog three months earlier and wanted the same breed. When I arrived the place turned out to be a trailer on a dirt road. Looked like something from Deliverance. It was filthy inside with horse flies all over the walls. There were at least 20 dogs running wild in a pen attached to the side of the trailer. I was sick. The litter of pups was in a baby pool in the filthy kitchen. Clearly this was a puppy mill and I knew I should leave. I left of course with the puppy I came for. In hindsight I should have gone to the police. I had already seen so many pictures of him that I felt like he was already mine, and I couldn't leave without him. Four years later and many vets telling me I should put him to sleep, I still have him and love him. If I had a nickel for everyone who has told me to get rid of him i'd be very wealthy. His anxiety is so severe, that he is a nightmare to live with sometimes. Many vets and dog behaviorist suggested possibly another dog or pet. After some more research about Bengals I felt that might be a better fit than another dog. Plus my son really wanted one and had for a year. Once I finally met the right breeder, Darlene, the owner of Satokatz. I felt quite certain I was heading in the right direction. We began communicating and I'm sure I drove her nuts with all my questions. But I was very nervous due to my bad experience with my dog. As you can imagine on the day that I was to pick him up, family and friends told me I was crazy. My husband told me to not bring home this kitten no matter how cute, if the place was like the puppy mill.
Well it was completely opposite! Truly a CAT HEAVEN? Almost surreal. Darlene loves this breed so much, and has dedicated herself completely to the process of breeding her bengals. The retired queens and studs live a retirement like that of wealthy CEO's, and the studs and queens also are especially treated like royalty. It almost feels like a five star hotel for cats or a resort, and I'm not kidding. you got to see it to believe it. I still can't stop talking about it!
This process was great from beginning to end. We absolutely love our new addition! I've haven't been entertained this much in my entire life. What a unique cat. Never a dull moment. The happiest part of this ending is how much it has changed my dog. He has something to focus on and play with. His anxiety has decreased tremendously and he gets lots of exercise.
One last thing that stood out was Darlene's concern with her kittens. She made sure I knew if this didn't work out she would take him back. She wanted him to have a happy home and if it wasn't mine then she would find him one. She clearly is invested in this process. After speaking with many breeders not only was she kind and informative, her price was fair. So happy I didn't let my past experience stop me.
Anybody looking to make a fun addition to their family, I recommend a Bengal.
Thanks Darlene for your kindness and patience.
Sincerely, Mimi Kaminsky
Hi Darlene ,
I just wanted to thank you for the great experience purchasing Lynx our first Bengal. We were impressed in how you have the house set up for the cats. The pictures & info you sent us before we picked him up was priceless. Lynx settled right in our home without any problems. The kids can't get enough of him. My wife loves his color & markings. I can't imagine our family without him.
Thanks again The Bakers Medina, Ohio
Darlene,
Thank you so much for all you did to help us prepare for O'Malley's arrival. From the beginning, you helped to inform us on what to expect with a bengal kitten; everything from feeding and litter, to his favorite toys. He is a wonderful little guy! And although we were anxious to bring him home, we appreciate how you were protective not to let him go too soon. We felt like he was so loved and nurtured. He is a happy and curious kitty and we are enjoying him very much! Thanks again.

Darlene,
Thank you so much for our beautiful Aki. For anyone wanting to purchase a Bengal, I will definitely recommend you. I loved the daily pictures and movies you emailed me so I could watch her growth until she was old enough to be picked up. You provided me with the feeding and care information I needed to prepare for arrival. My fear of buying a Bengal which might not socialize easily was quickly erased when I saw what a loving household she was in. She immediately adapted to her new home and our 3 year old cat. She is full of energy and a very loved member of our family.
Thank you so much!

Paula adopted Nako to be with Aki in 2013.
To Whom it May Concern: We purchased Sabu at 10 weeks of age from Satokatz Bengals and after the initial stressful few hour adjustment period, he made himself right at home. You would think he had been born and raised here! He came to us an extremely happy, energetic, and loving little kitten and was so well socialized, being raised with a dog in the home. The home in which he was raised is truly a kitten's paradise, complete with a catwheel, toys galore, and multiple climbing/scratching posts. We have 2 dogs and cats and all of the animals get along very well with Sabu. Darlene, the breeder, sent pictures and videos every day after we had selected Sabu. She is honest and has integrity. She has a very loving heart, and is not at all clinical and cool about the kittens. Her kittens are very well cared for and loved. We highly recommend Satokatz Bengals. Sincerely, Chris Raymond
Darlene,
I just want to thank you so much for Lenox, he’s such a wonderful cat and an amazing addition to our family. We couldn’t be happier.
Being able to come to your home and see Lenox (before we got him) and his family was very helpful to us while making a decision to get a Bengal. My boyfriend was nervous, he had heard horror stories about how Bengals where mean or hard to get along with but seeing all of your beautiful babies changed his mind. We are constantly amazed at all the things Lenox can do; he is so smart and loves to cuddle. Lenox was socialized so well at your home that he sometimes comes to work with me as a therapy cat and does amazingly.
You made the process of getting him easy and fun with all of the photos and videos you sent to keep us updated, and getting Lenox used to being at his new home was easy due to his little care package and all of your helpful information.
He is amazing, we love him so much!!
Thanks again,
Meghan and Jacob

Darlene,
I wanted to reach out and let you know how happy we are with Caterina. My daughter always wanted a cat. We did a lot of research before choosing a bengal. Caterina is well behaved and very fun to play with. My 6 and 12 year old love her very much. Her markings are awesome. The pictures you sent us from her birth to the time we picked her up were great. We love the way you raised her so much we are purchasing another from you. We can't wait to get Kovu. Everyday you send me pictures of how much he is growing. Thank you Darlene.

After putting our dear FIV positive shelter cat to sleep, my husband and I were heartbroken. We never thought we would get another cat. When we saw the bengals at SatoKatz we started to consider opening our home up once again to a cat. We contacted Darlene, who was a huge help in deciding if the Bengal breed was right for us. We were new to the idea of a non-shelter cat and to having a kitten. After committing to SatoKatz, the entire process was great. Throughout “the wait,” coming home, and long after our kitties were “new,” Darlene has always maintained excellent communication. She replies promptly and honestly. I appreciate this the most. I hate giving business to someone who is non-responsive or to someone who forgets about their clients after the “sale” is made. She truly cares about all of her kitties and who they go home with. Darlene is an honest businesswoman who completely devotes herself to her cats. She is passionate about what she does and this is something that is priceless.
Being completely candid, after we brought our first kitten home, it was difficult. We were not prepared for just how MUCH energy he had. It was hard, I questioned our “parenting” on a regular basis. Darlene was a constant supporter who offered intelligent advice, positive encouragement, and was always a shoulder to lean on. After time, our first kitten really began to adapt well. We added a 2nd kitten from SatoKatz about a month later. Again, it was hard. We were starting back at square one with introducing the kittens and getting them to actually like each other. It took time, effort, and patience to get both kittens to where they are today. They are best buddies and can be left alone together. The kittens still continue to improve with each other and in their new home daily. They have come a long way and we are so happy to have them as part of our family.
SatoKatz is a kitten playground!! Everything in Darlene’s home is centered around her kitties. The kittens are raised in a “home environment” and receive so much attention from Darlene everyday. If you are looking for a beautiful, unique, high-energy cat from a loving home, Sato Katz is for you!
